The English Language Doctor: Copy-editing and...

Something on that, often all-consuming, need to write:

Possession*

I think I’m possessed!
Who speaks through me?
Do I know you?

You send me words and words,
And I must write!

I fear you, and yet,
I fear your departure more.

And with winter upon the northern hemisphere:

Snowfall*

Peace – Peace –
It is a holy silence that comes with snowfall.
The world is a cathedral at peace in silver light.
Breath is drawn in deeper and sedates the single soul,
Frosty flakes of magic transfix a living thing,
Like down from Angel wing.

Both poems originally appeared in Textures, a university English department journal.

It MUST BE YOUR WORK!
